Adult respite provides rest and renewal for parents who are the primary caregiver for their adult sons and daughters.
Individuals receiving respite have opportunities to develop new relationships with other families and friends, and experience different community events and other enjoyable occasions.
Skilled caregivers are screened by LACL so parents and their sons and daughters can choose a family or individual that will ensure a safe, enjoyable experience.
Adult respite is provided on an overnight or weekend schedule, usually in the home of caregiver. Families and single persons can provide this support.
